Match comments :
LT faced up to the UKTFCL Ladder leaders BIA today in a nail biting match. BIA were unbeaten so LT set out to knock them down and hopefully in the process do ourselves some good :) Either way it promised to become a very exiting match. The BIA message board said it all 'Fecking sweet!'At last we shall reveal ourselves to [LT]'At last we will bitch-slap them around the map!' This was no grudge match but both sides realised how important this win was.
The First map was CZ2, a map LT have had a bit of practice on with the BC and MtS games just recently. These matches paid off and LT pulled ahead with BIA hot on our Heals. It was a close game, in fact a little to close for comfort. We know how much the mIRC fans enjoy a close game so we didn't let them down :) - Again.
The Second Map was ROCK2, BIA realised they had to commit a large attack and win this one to make the game a draw unfortunately for us one of our key defenders on this map had serious connection problems and the BIA attack really hurt our rapidly set-up but disorganised defence. We never really did take control of the situation right up until when the map ended. The constant siren started after the first cap and I never even had time to type stopsound in the console. Thats pretty much how overrun our defence was. The only good news was that our attackers were also gaining ground at a similar rate keeping up neck and neck.
After the remarkable game against BC yesterday again lady luck was again with LT and we managed to win overall both maps. A very similar game in fact to the BC so close that it could of been the same team. Nicely played BIA and very well done to players on both teams. They say there are no real teams left in the ladder, pah! :) The LT motm award for was presented to [LT]Goss for his outstanding CC detonation and general harassment of the dastardly enemy.
