Toady the crazy cartoons took on MUF in a week 9 UKTFCL ladder match. Both teams started both maps with 8 players,, there was a little bit of a delay at the start as GW only setup the server for 16 players so when the subs joined it prevented the others joining, we got round this though by having a laugh on 2Fort for a while.
The first map was Well, Pre-match ended and both attacks set off in search of that first cap. I got to the MUF
flag room before their defence had even got to a lift (yes me the mad defender was given the chance to attack today), I got the flag only to get killed at MUF's main entrance, but as soon as I respawn I conced over got the flag and capped, 1 minute gone and we had the lead. Ok enough about me back to the report :). MUF used a very concentrated
defence on this map which made it quiet easy to get to the flag room un harmed, with this in mind we where soon capping quiet freely and had a 50-0 lead. At this stage MUF's attack got it's act together and they also started capping quiet freely, we made a slight
defense change at 70-30 and the final score was 90-50.
Second map was Rock2, yes for the 3rd week running for some reason we had to play this map again, why I ask the Admins? Again the pre-match ended and both sets of attacks set off in search of the others key. Both attacks where met by 2 solid
defence's, so no quick caps here. It was a battle for the first 5 mins with both attacks unable to break through 2 very well
organized defences. We managed to get the key and cap, after which the MUF
defence
never really recovered with our offence constantly harassing their defence and we again continued to cap quiet freely. MUF's attack had touched the key a few times and on 1
occasion got it to the gas chamber but failed to cap. We finally ran out 120-0 winners.
This match was played in a very good spirit by both clans, It takes both clans to make an enjoyable match and whilst MUF might not have enjoyed it we did. Thanks for the game MUF!
