The crazy cartoons took on clan IOU in the final UKTFCL match of season 3, both clans started with 8 members. This was a quickly
organized match after our original opponents A&I pulled out due to the person on their side who was the point of contact not informing his clan we even had a match!.
The first map was Well, we have had our fair share of problems playing this map this season. Pre-match ended and both attacks set off in search of the quick cap, whilst our attack was met with a solid defnece 2 of their scouts
managed to get to the flag but where killed. Both attacks was happening at a fast and furious pace, IOU struck first managing to get our flag and cap. This setup a thrilling map with IOU trying to increase their lead and LT trying to catch up. We did and managed to draw level at 10-10, but IOU kept coming and where soon in the lead again. This was the case for the rest of the map IOU take the lead we evened it up, IOU took a 40-3- lead with 5 minutes to go. Then we managed to get their flag 1 last time and cap to finish the map 40-40. It has to be said IOU had a good
coordinated attack using all the black spots in our defence to meet up and attack in at least two's. That said a big well done has to
go to both our offence and defence who managed between them to still draw the map.
The second map was 2Fort, one of the IOU guys had problems getting back into the server in time so we dropped one until he did. When he did arrive though the call was put out for both to join, their guy did but ours
didn't, 5 mins of shouting at our guy to join before it was agreed we would just play this map 7v7. Both attacks got quick caps on this map, when I got in our basement I found 3 of their scouts arguing over who was
going to take the flag, I interrupted with my rocket launcher :). We had only played this map once in the past 4 weeks and that was yesterday,
unfortunately we hadn't had the chance to practice it before this weekend. I must say on this map we where very good constantly probing IOU's defence and getting to the flag, IOU touched our flag twice and capped both times. We must have touched their flag at least a dozen times and capped 9 times. Our attack was on form and ran the IOU defence ragged.
Some people say ping aunt a factor, I say BOLLOX. IOU had the most LPB's in one side that I had seen all season, their highest ping was 200. IOU put up a good fight and ran us all the way on Well as confessed afterwards by their leader, they have work to do on 2Fort but once they do they will be a hard team to beat over 2 maps. Much respect to IOU for such a good game and also
thanks to all LT's opponents this season we have had a couple of games we would like to forget but alot of games we will recall for a long time to come yet. And a quick point for next season, we may have had our problems with the map Well this season but rest assured by the time we play season 4 we wont have any and we never actually lost a Well map this season anyway.
