The Looney's played their second cup match today against UKTFCL Premiership clan UESC. At the start both teams had 8 players.
The first map was CZ2, we chose this map as we fancied something unpredictable and fun. Pre-match ended and both clans ran off to cap those points, LT where quickest out of the box capping 2 points
before UESC capped one, soon after we got our first full capture. From this point on we never looked back capping like the wind, people where having connection problems and some people dropping, both clans tried there hardest to keep with the rules and keep the sides even at all times. We where capping like mad, but UESC seemed to give up and tried to keep us in our base at first using any and nearly every class they could (I never saw a sniper). This did slow us down but never stopped us and we did run out convincing winners. One last point a big WICKY WICKY WILD WILD WEST to Goss who destroyed the enemy CC RAH.
The second map was 2Fort, again both teams started with even sides. Both clans set off in search of the others flag, we capped straight away and UESC did get
their hands on our flag but got killed on the spiral. After a few minutes of hard flag defending they managed to get it and cap it. UESC
didn't cause us much problems on defence they did manage to touch the flag a few more times but it never left our basement. Again people where having connection problems, UESC where having the
worst of it with one of them pinging an average of 700 over the 2 maps, again both clans kept the sides as even as possible at all times. We managed to cap 11 times in total on 2Fort and ran out 110-10 winners.
I did hear before the match that UESC where just a fun clan and would play anyone at anytime on any server. They came onto the server saying they where gonna lose and their tactics on CZ2 made it look like they where just there to have fun and not contend. They did have the
worst of the lag problems throughout the match and did chat alot. All said and done though we played the match and won, UESC only complained about the lag which is out of our control but apart from that seemed a decent bunch of blokes.
