[LT] Played [HA] (Herbs Army) for a slot in the UKTFCL Premiership. This was played over 3 maps 2Fort, The Well and Rock2. The initial server was a Netgames one organized by the UKTFCL. Ping Stupid! is all that I can say, If the plan is to use Netgames in Season3 UKTFCL something must be done to get Gamesworld servers back as well. Thanks must go to the MORAT guys for getting us a server to play on at such short notice.
The First map was a bit of a disaster for [LT], [HA] Started very quickly and it took them only 2 mins to cap 3 times. They continued to hammer the [LT] defences until finally we pulled ourselves together.
Unfortunately the [HA] defences were a little harder to breach and [LT] never really got near closing the gap.
The Second map was much improved for [LT]. [HA] had a few problems on this map loosing players this was unfortunate but with a ping comparison it was still pretty fair :)
This was a very even map, with [LT] Ahead 1 cap for just about all of the map. Every time
they got a cap we got another. Looking at the MORAT log we almost started a third world war between our Supporters and our European cousins :)
The Third map was rock2. Dam it was hard fought by both sides. At first [LT] seemed to have [HA] on the run. They had the yard well covered but after a few well place Mirvs and our Jumping Jacks Medics we had the key on the move. The First cap was so close I died as I capped it.
Meanwhile our defences were getting pummelled but holding their own. [LT]DaffyDuck says: "500 SG's I made at least". Pretty much speaks for itself.
[HA] Then changed tactics on us and started to defend the GC. It was hard smashing our way back through but we managed it once more.
Unfortunately during this time [HA] did manage to release the gas twice.
I can safely say that these were some of the most fun games I have ever played. The [HA] squad were a challenge to play but enjoyable.
Unfortunately as this was a playoff we needed a winner. It was decided (after a lot of confusion) to go for a 'Golden Crap'. This 'Interesting' rule did not fall in our
favour. [HA] went through to the Premiership and good luck to them. They are a very good clan and I would suggest the other Premier Teams watch out for them assuming they manage to beat LBU. Either way we will see you in Season 4 :) (hopefully!)
