A search
for a musical history:
His debut he made in 1934 at the Kurhaus with the Residence orchestra. Since he played often as a soloist and a chamber musician. With world famous musicians as Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, William Primrose, Johanna Martzy, Tossy Spivakovsky, Margerita Perras and Tibor de Machula he traveled through Western -Europe and South-America. He played with different orchestras conducted by Piere Monteux and Eduard van Beinum as a soloist. He gave many radio recitals and probably worked with many other soloists. Jean Antonietti died in 1994 at the age of 79. Many records from works of Cesar Franck (1959), Maurice Ravel (1965), Ludwig van Beethoven (1951 - 1956) are already re-leased on CD. Even in Japan old DGG records out of the fifty's are re-released. From Johanna Martzy are also records with Istvan Hajdu, Paul Szabo and the Bayrische Rundfunk orchestra are available again on CD.
I would be pleased to know more about Jean Antonietti and Johanna Martzy.
